Eight months ago – I was in one of the best shapes I have ever been in.  Health, fitness, etc. were top notch and my doctor would have been proud.  How did I do that?  I walked … I walked for hours a day – seriously.  Two to three – sometimes even four hours – daily.  My average walk was between six to eight miles, done in about 2.5 hours.  Every now and then I would walk twice a day.  My walks took me to places I wrote about on Walkation.com

And then I got a phone call.  Being as TarponRiverWatch.com is one of my babies …

Lorri Helfand Staff Writer for the St. Pete Times … called me early April 2009 and asked if I knew of a certain person and why yes I did – she told me he threatened to kill a board member if the case he pursued for many years did not go his way.  This caused me alarm – and I became more vigilant, but I continued to walk.

Then Lorri called me to see  if I had seen the Inside Edition segment this same man went on.  I had not seen it, but I read this article online and I also read Lorri’s piece she followed up with.  After this time I was able to view the piece Inside Edition did – and I was terrified.  I am terrified … A terrorist lives in my neighborhood.

My neighborhood is a wonderful community filled with friendly people, beautiful homes, in a lovely setting (gosh I am waxing poetic) and we have a terrorist among us.  Who needs to go half way around the world to fight terrorism, when it is in our own communities.  And then Lorri did another follow up to her original story.  And still the story waits for more follow up.

So – what does any of this have to do with a treadmill desk and blogging.  A LOT – In the past eight months I have gained over 30 pounds, all because I stopped walking … the last time I walked a large man was walking toward me – the sun was behind him … I almost pooped my drawers … seriously … I have not walked since.

Yesterday I began using my treadmill desk – I will get video uploaded soon   Yesterday’s working walk was 95 minutes at 2.5 mph – zero incline.

Today I am doing 2.5 mph at a 3.5 incline.  I am currently at 48 minutes and counting for the day.  Goals for today’s working walkation include Farmville – keep it moving along and get it decorated for the holidays.  So far, so good.  Write AND POST three blogs.  This one.  GoalBuzz and one other one that I have been sadly neglecting.  Probably Walkation.com  Gosh I miss that blog.  Or is it the activity that goes along with it?  The walking.

Ok – I am beginning to slack – so will post this and continue.

With this blog posting I am announcing I am aware we all have choice no matter the economy or domain name used, with a good GoalBuzz and a quickrant on twitter, our thoughts begin to create new partnerships for thankful YES we CAN!!!  Win – win – win’s

I have taken the liberty of copying Joe Biden’s e-mail about the fight and using it as if he is my Guest Blogger today. The lobbyists have billions of dollars backing their agenda.  We have us. The ads we see are not from those who have our best interest at heart.  The ads we see are from those who want the way it’s always been to be the way it will always be … I don’t know if you have noticed – BUT – things are changing.  Let’s make them good changes.

If you can not afford to donate money (what is money – paper we say is worth something) donate your TIME and resources to help spreading the word.  In my opinion this is so very much more important than 5, 10, 50 dollars.

Help spread the word that the lobbyists and the ads side for the insurance company who want to remain in control.  Tweet this, FaceBook it, MySpace It, GET THE WORD OUT … WE do make a difference.

Think of this – even the BEST insurance around is subject to no money – no insurance, lost your job?  Is it tied to insurance?  Got a disease or have a bad accident – you ARE at the mercy of the insurance company in which you have placed your faith and the premiums you have paid (how ever they have been paid).

I met an “Artist” this weekend at the 35th ANNUAL Tarpon Springs Fine Arts Festival (I should link this to AncloteRiverWatch.com if I post more pics there … hmmm … thinking in black and white   She doesn’t have a website, she is an “Artist” and all of her “Art” is original.  No two “are the same” … LOL!!!  If they were – wouldn’t that make one a copier, not an “Artist” … hmmm … I dunno … I only create things and am thankful to share them … LOL!!!

During the 35th Annual Tarpon Springs Fine Arts Festival I saw things that made me feel how blessed I am to be able to see them and was able to take pictures of many things   we can’t buy every thing, but we can share them with others – and if others see stuff they like .. well, well, well now … what a pickle … win~win~win~win~win … how many of us are there?  PLUS one more ~win~ for good measure Maybe mama earth ?  who knows – we are only creators (-:

Why am I talking about abundance, especially when the news talks of double digit unemployment rates. Lending is log jammed, although banks are being given (basically) free money? How can I suggest we balk at the thought of abundance for all?

Abundance and prosperity will reign for one thousand years – and then – and then – and then what?

Well this one book here (the bible) says the world will end. Not sure why (?)

Some people, who say they follow the Koran, say kill people (?) for … {fill in the blank reason} … ?

I have friends who follow the Koran, but they are wonderful people … who is right?  I love my friends.  Their children are our future as are mine to you

Why would any god wish to destroy life (unless they are some bully little dweeb who needs a SIT DOWN! … we have some bullies just north of where we live … the neighborhood there is *afraid of them* …   LOL!!!  No not of the Evie they have not yet met … but do they soon they might regret – if their tune they do not change, their future home move – I shall arrange

I’ve always been more of a “My truths are mine and yours are yours and together we so very much ROCK!” but there are so many on this side or that side or the other one over there (???? come on people now ~ smile on my brother ~ we must love one another right now :*-)  we can ALWAYS agree … if on nothing else – that we Dis-agree and win-win-win can be moved to from there.

We are the writers of our future and if for one thousand years we live in peace, prosperity (I hope we keep growing, challenging, playing along the way … maybe THAT is the end – we have stopped? …. ooohhhh hhhmmmm thoughts to think on …. ) and then we have to “come to the grips” with that fact – well … uh … so be it !!!  When do we start?
